Acorn Class has its own entrance at the 4+ end of the school but if you arrive after the door has been closed pleased enter through the main entrance.
We have a large outside area that we are gradually developing to give the children more outside activities. The PSA have raised money for us to extend the area and buy new equipment.
We have PE on Tuesday and Thursday
If your child is being collected by anyone different at the end of their session, please let us know via a note or on the whiteboard in the entrance porch as it is sometimes very difficult to talk in the mornings. It's easier for us if we know who to look for and less upsetting for the child if he/she knows in advance if there is a change of routine.
Please bring a filled sports' bottle full of water each day. We like the children to drink frequently and this saves queues at the water fountain. We will top them up if they run out during the day. We suggest you fill them the night before and leave them in the fridge overnight, the water stays chilled for quite a while and is much nicer to drink. We must emphasise that the bottle must only contain water - no juice, squash or flavoured water.
Book bags need to be brought to school every day. We put letters etc in their bags to give to you so please check the bag each night. Reading books need to be in school each day as children will read to one of us as often as possible. Library books and Home Reader books will not be sent home without a book bag.
(If you haven't got a book bag you can buy one from Mrs Salter in the office.)
If we've missed anything, please ask. We are always available if you need a chat. If you feel you might need a long chat please make an appointment as we often have to be elsewhere as soon as the children leave school.
