Mr Black is our Head Teacher.

He came to the school as Deputy Head and took over as Head Teacher in September 2003.  He also runs the rugby skills club.

 

Mrs Dyke is the Deputy Head Teacher and Key Stage Two Co-ordinator.

Mrs Dyke is responsible for Art throughout the school. She is also a mentor for student teachers. 

    

Mrs. Clayton teaches Willow Class which is a year 4 class.

Mrs Clayton has responsibility for Numeracy throughout the school.

  

Mrs. Beddall teaches Elm Class  which is a year 3/4 class.

Mrs. Beddall has responsibility for Literacy throughout the school. She is a mentor for new teachers and student teachers at Watling. 

   

Mrs. Street teaches Holly Class, a year 3 class. 

Mrs. Street has responsibilty for ICT, Music and the Arts throughout the school. She organises most of the Arts activities and visits to and from school.


Mrs. Jandu teaches Rowan Class, a year 2 class and is Key Stage One and Foundation Stage Co-ordinator.

Mrs. Jandu has responsibility for Science and Design and Technology throughout the school. She is the teacher governor.

 

Miss. Colton teaches Sycamore Class which is a mixed years 1/2 class. 

Miss. Colton has responsibility for RE and PSHE throughout the school. She plays the piano for assembly and helps with music activities. She takes one of the recorder groups and is running our choir this year.

 

Mr. Gates teaches Chestnut Class which is a year 1 class.

Mr. Gates has responsibility for History and Geography throughout the school. He runs a computer club for Key Stage One children.


Mrs. Youngs is on maternity leave. Her baby is due in September. We will keep you informed. See you next year Mrs Youngs.

Mrs. Youngs has responsibility for PE throughout the school. She organises most of the in school and after school sporting activities and clubs.

 

Mrs Clarke works part time in Acorn Class and has responsibility for Special Educational Needs. She also covers when teachers are off sick or on courses.

 

Miss Stevenson is a new teacher who teaches part time (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday) in Acorn Class. We welcome her to Watling and hope that she is very happy here.


Mrs. Browning is our Nursery Nurse. She is based in Willow Class but helps the other Key Stage Two classes as well. She is the link adult on our School Council and welcomes the children to school each morning at the playground door. She helps Mrs Peck with the merit system. She also teaches first aid to children in year 4 who work for their Young Life Saver Award.

 

Mrs. Foster is a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who covers for teachers when they are absent. She is based in Elm Class this year and has responsibility for the Library and Display in the school.


Mrs Peck and Mrs Human are Teaching Assistants working in Acorn Class. Mrs. Peck is one of the people we can go to for first aid; she also helps ICTand runs the Maths Games library. She helps run the merit system with Mrs Browning and is a staff govenor. She also teaches first aid to children in year 4 who work for their Young Life Saver Award.


Mrs. Brooker, Mrs. Robinson and Mrs. Spooner are TAs working in Key Stage 1. Mrs Spooner is another person we can go to for first aid.  Mrs. Brooker has major input into all our dramatic productions.

  

Mrs. Field is a TA working part time in Key Stage 2.

 

Mrs. Black is a TA who works across the school mainly supporting reading. Mrs Black is also Senior Lunchtime Supervisor.

 

Mrs. Salter is our Office Manager.

She keeps the school running smoothly, answers the telephone and types most of our letters. She always helps us when we are feeling poorly or unhappy!

  

Mrs. Pynn is our Assistant Office Manager.

Mrs. Pynn helps Mrs. Salter in the office and is our Health and Safety Officer.

  

Mrs. Barker is our Site Agent and the Support Staff Governor. She is one of the people we can go to for first aid. She keeps our school very clean and tidy and often decorates the school in the holidays.

  

Mrs. Jenkins helps Mrs. Barker look after our school.

  

Mrs. Black, Mrs. Anwar, Mrs. Osborne, Mrs. Power, Mrs. Hindhaugh, Mrs. Kenny, Mrs Williams, Mrs. Beard and Mrs Scotcher look after us at lunchtimes. Mrs Beard is our lunchtime first aider.

  

Mrs. Smith cooks our delicious dinners.

 

Mrs. Thomas is our catering administrator and helps cook our dinners.

 

Mrs. Mead is our Educational Welfare Officer
